( seeing as how magnus isn't entirely devoid of emotions [only, you know, partially], there are times where guilt and shame pang within him. fortunately, these moments are fleeting. the disgust that he feels at himself gets overtaken by satisfaction, even justice. 'this is right'. he'd had to take matters into his own hands, but he's righting the wrongs he's been dealt.
still, seeing toki collapse to his knees threatens to make him feel something. he wouldn't have to do this if dethklok hadn't screwed him. this is on nathan's head more than his own. )
Better. Much, much better.
( when everyone plays by the rules, things go great; it's when assholes take advantage that things go wrong.
he affixes a collar around toki's neck to ensure he won't make a run for it, and he holds the leash loose. without toki, they lose all their leverage. gotta keep him close.
like a dog, he walks him through the hideout, but only the parts he trusts him with seeing. there are other parts of his plan, parts he keeps behind locked doors. magnus has been planning this for so long, the condemned space they consider their 'home' has been retrofitted with lighting, plumbing, gas, and heat. it still looks like it's falling apart, but priorities. who cares what it looks like? it serves its purpose.
maybe he'll put toki to work cleaning up the place. surely he knows how to use a broom and paint brush.
back in the cage, toki's phone buzzes with a missed call. since no one answers, nathan's got no choice but to believe it's the wrong number. those stupid 'genius' klokateers don't know anything. )
[Might as well try to be nice about it, just in case.
There might have been a time once where he would have liked the whole collar thing, where it might have been fun to pretend. That time certainly isn't now. He's miserable like this, following Magnus around because he doesn't have another choice.
He doesn't even bother to look around anymore. He'd attempted to see if he could find out any important information before, early on, but it's just not worth it anymore. He stares down at the floor, simply moving forward, otherwise silent.]
